How Do I Check to See if My Site is Compliant?
There are several ways to verify compliance:
- The W3C offers several markup validators and accessibility checking tools for free on their site. Managers can run these validators to determine what type of coding errors are occurring.
- There are also a number of web accessibility tools available for purchase. These tools are able to dive more comprehensively into the code of a web site to determine areas of non-compliance.
- Many managers choose to work with an accessibility consultant who reviews the site's code and also the site's overall approach to design and programming to determine areas of non-compliance.
An accessibility audit has determined that some elements of my site are non-compliant. What now?
